We are looking for a Junior Systems Engineer to own the backend systems powering our 3D asset management software and related services.

Tasks

• Own our distributed job processing system that powers asset transformation, AI inference, meshing, and data processing
• Maintain and extend our Rust data export pipeline, handling 3D asset transformations across multiple formats
• Develop resilient APIs on a global scale to power RIIICO's data processing foundation
• Optimize features and performance in close cooperation with frontend, backend, and AI teams
• Research and prototype integrations with external 3D data sources and new file formats

Requirements

• You can thrive in a dynamic environment and like to tackle new and various problems
• Completed a technical or scientific study program (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
• Solid programming fundamentals in Rust or systems languages (C++/Go) with eagerness to learn
• Previous experience in collaborative software development
• You are able to work independently while building and extending backend systems
• Clear technical communication to work effectively with frontend, backend, and platform teams
• Interest in how large-scale distributed systems work

Bonus:

• Experience with any message queue or event-driven systems (RabbitMQ/Kafka)
• Experience with 3D graphics, CAD software, or computational geometry
• Previous work with monitoring/observability (Prometheus/Loki/Grafana)
• You have experience using Docker, working with CI/CD solutions, and microservices
